Due to unforeseen circumstances my archaeological dig had to be cut short and I came home yesterday afternoon. Enough said about that other then I am quite disappointed and very sore from all the excavating that I did that morning and the previous day. It probably wasn't enough experience to make such a judgment but I no longer think that excavation is for me. A researcher, museum curator, or something like that may be more up my isle if I do go into archaeology. If you are interested in archaeology and have the chance, do go to the Center for American Archeology in Kampsville, IL and sign up for a week or more of excavation. The people there are really nice and it is quite an experience, perhaps even life changing.
In the good news division, my plants are growing like crazy. Some of my Plumeria cuttings have grown new leaves or their undeveloped leaves have gotten bigger and are getting ready to open up. One of my Plumeria, the one called "India" has grown an "inflo" which is a group of flower buds. It won't be long now before I have some beautiful blooms to show off. Also, quite a few of the seeds I planted in past days have sprouted including several Plumeria seeds, two Dwarf Pomegranate seeds, and 3 Purple Prince Kale seeds. Some of the Plumeria seedlings are just about big enough to be taken out of the seed trays and put into their own pots. To see more about my plants and how they are doing, check out my Plant Journal and Gallery.
Next week, college starts again. I'm looking forward to it. I get to see some of my teachers from the previous semester and at least one of my friends, Sam, from last semester. I think it's going to be fun. On Memorial Day weekend, my best friend Stevie will be coming down to visit. I'm really looking forward to that.
